December 6th: My 'Daughter' Nafeesa Yusuf's Birthday

In life we choose people who we want or wish to relate with. Sometimes you might not be related by blood but by the bond and emotions you share between each other which is more worthwhile.

Nafeesa Yusuf, a beautiful lady adorned with beauty from the inside and from the outside. Quiet, observant, caring, loving, lovable, tender and just everything nice you could think of.

I met her as far back 2012 on a social media platform and then we became closer, then closer, we told each other more than we ever told every other person around us as at that time. And there was this time she told me about something and as considerate and caring as I was about her, I gave a fair advice and then she thought I was being fatherly. But why not, I began to call her "Baby" while she called me "Dad". That was the beginning of a new era, I began to feel like I had a real daughter as the feeling was just as exciting as the reality could be.

Our relationship was virtual and based on social media until I met her physically on ‎July 19th, 2015 after almost 4years. Surprised? Don't be, circumstances didn't let us. ‎See photo:

Today, December 6th, she is a year older, becoming a better lady by the day. May the peace and blessings of Allah always be upon her, now and forever. ‎
